Virginia contains 62 federal campgrounds managed by three agencies: the U.S. Forest Service operates 33 sites, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages 15, and the National Park Service oversees 14. Collectively, these campgrounds offer approximately 2,246 overnight sites. Note that this directory covers federal campgrounds only; state parks and private campgrounds such as KOA are outside the scope of this resource.
